What I cherish is my pets, books, photos, music, spirited friends and especially, Simba's 6-acres of woods. Happiness is being surrounded by these things. That's all.

...the screech owl and his mate have made our back yard their new home (maybe?) and Kahlua the dog is a blonde German Shepherd who won Roscoe's heart on our romp at the river......that, and a dream about time-travelling with Kevin in our ageless red Jeep, and seeing the movie "Crazy Heart," and a few more pages of the latest Stephen King book...now, all that, in one package is a very nice escape from reality this weekend.

He was late, the sun had set and moon was rising when he came for dinner last night, but he was handsome as usual and very nice to pose for my camera.
These pics don't do it justice...it was so pretty; pink sun on the west, purple moon on the east!
